解釋: 用法源自拉丁語。pro在此是指in favor of(贊成)的意思;而con則是拉丁語contra的簡寫,指in opposition to, against(反對)。兩者現在為英文的拉丁字根,大都當前綴(prefix)用,此詞語嚴格來講,不加s,而加s的the pros and cons是名詞,指“贊成者和反對者的論據”。但這裡的pro和我們常講到的“比賽遇到 pro”的不一樣,後者是professional(行家,老手)的簡稱,具體用法要注意上下文。例:Let's add up the pros and cons.咱們把正反兩方面的意見總結一下吧。


In my opinion, I am in opposition of technology in the classroom. There are three parts that I don't agree at all.

For one, teachers and students don't connect at all. If students have problems, I think they use e-mail to consult the teacher. I suggest that they ask the questions face to face, and students could get the answer easier and understand it well. Some questions are asked by face to face is clear.

For another, we would too rely on the technology instead of our brain. Sometimes we would find the meaning of unfamiliar words on the Internet. In fact, it is fast and easy. However, we could not totally understand the word at all because there are not one meaning in a word. If we look up in a dictionary, we could know how to use the word correctly and learn the word by sentences or examples.

The last but not the least, sometimes we couldn't concentrate at class. Sometimes we could chat or discuss, that also means we don't concentrate on the class for a period of time, we would miss something in the class. I suggest that the teacher could combine class and technology together. Sometimes the teacher teachs knowledge in the class while sometimes the students learn knowledge from the Internet.

I think there would be some advantages and disadvantages of technology in the classroom. However, we could make some improvements and become better in the future!!

I think the technology in the classroom is important today.
Because even in the country side school the computer and internet still can use there, so actually, teacher can use some teaching program or game from internet to help students leaning English and not just from books.
Still more, the internet including many kind of material that easy can surf the imformation what you want.
There are also some program in our school very usefull like e-learning not only can do many practice but also play game to remember vocaburary for fun and easy.
So in my opinion, the technology in the classroom is indispensablity.

Well..........but I think:
Nowadays, the growth of technology is pretty sophisticated. "Technology" is no longer a term of appears in computer classrooms. It now are widely applied in teaching instead. With the help of developing of technology, it would be much more handy for teachers and learners.

Firstly for example, e-whiteboard is a useful invention for classes because teachers can directly search materials through the e-whiteboard. Also, it has highly maneuverability, so teachers and students can avoid the inconvinence of equipment borrowing at times.

Plus, educational technologies can help teachers manage class affairs, such as grades, syllabus, or even assigment. Teachers can provide diverse learning situations according to different classes. On the other hand, students can discuss and ask question on line anywhere and anytime.

Moreover, not only students but all kind of learners can learn indivisually based on their own ability, schedule, and avilaible time of learning. Teachers can input all kinds of possible exercises to computers beforehand, then learners can practice by themselves without any barriers of time and places.

According to advantages mentioned above, I believe it would definitely provide both students and teachers many advantages by means of educational technologies.

There are many sides of effects in technology learning classroom, I also agreed with some of your points. As the teachers, I think we should find the more benefit ways in technology tools to help students learn well, right?

I agree with your first point that teacher and classmate should discuss the problems face to face.
I think it is much more easier to solve the problems than by sending e-mail.
